Brookside Creations is now a member of the EtsyBloggers team. Twice each month, we are asked to respond to a specific question or two.
The question this week: What are you most proud of in your life?
Most of all, we are proud of our family. We have two wonderful sons, one daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. We are looking forward to our youngest son's marriage in June 2010, and to gaining another daughter-in-law. Absolutely awesome!
Our family includes many generations of woodworkers, of which Dean is the 5th generation. Going way back to casket makers in England, his mother's side of the family has been in the same line of work for a very long time. Dean has worked as a woodworker and has done fine furniture restoration since the early 1970's. His skills are sought after by clients all across the country, and his woodworking website is at Mosey's Woodworks.
Caron learned how to sew from her mother, who was a seamstress all her life. Caron began quilting in the mid 1970's, has written two quilting books, and taught around the United States for quilt guilds and at many national quilt shows.
We are so proud of our heritage and the skills we have gained from our families. We are happy to share that skill with our friends and clients, and look forward to passing those skills on to future generations.
Thanks for stopping by!
